With more than 12 years of experience with stream, wetland, and endangered species offsets in Texas, Louisiana, Arkansas, and Alaska, the firm brings a trusted reputation and professionalism to every project with customized support. Ironwood specializes in marketing environmental offsets and mitigation assets to the energy industry, government entities, private developers, and transportation providers.
Southern Reds, LLC is a 1,200-head seedstock operation based in North Central Texas. The family-run operation span 8,000 acres and is focused on raising climate-friendly genetics that produce beef by recycling forage and water without the need of additional inputs. This decreases environmental impact and increases financial efficiency. Southern Reds plans to double its operation in the next two years due to increased demand from landowner partners who desire to see their own land investments improved through true ecosystem management and regenerative grazing principles. In 2022, Southern Reds was recognized as Seedstock Producer of the Year by the Grassfed Exchange, which is a global gathering of regenerative ranchers, dairymen and sustainable food supporters. Michael Vance, owner of Southern Reds, currently serves as an executive board member for the National Grazing Lands Coalition, an advisor to the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research and is a cooperator with the Noble Research Institute, LLC.
